The protest rally continues outside the de facto parliament of occupied Abkhazia, where speakers have also called for the resignation of the so-called president, Aslan Bzhania. According to opposition member Gari Kokaia, two of his colleagues, Adgur Ardzinba and Temur Gulia, are inside the building negotiating with the deputies.

A statement was issued on behalf of the opposition parties, emphasizing that the rally participants' actions are not directed against Russian-Abkhazian relations.
“On the contrary, we, as the opposition, have always highlighted the importance of fraternal and strategic ties between our countries. However, throughout his rule, Aslan Bzhania has exploited these relations for his own selfish interests, manipulating them to consolidate his regime.
Today, the participants of the rally gathered at the parliament building not to oppose our allies but to defend the national interests of Abkhazia, its natural resources, and its wealth, which Bzhania attempted to usurp for personal gain.
The Abkhazian people have always had one primary demand: to safeguard the citizens’ interests. Yet, despite this, neither the president nor the parliament has heeded the people's voice until now,” reads the statement signed by 12 opposition parties and organizations.
On November 15, the so-called Parliament of Abkhazia was set to discuss the ratification of an agreement signed with Russia on implementing investment projects. However, due to the opposition’s protest, the so-called deputies were unable to approve the session’s agenda.
Opponents of the “Investment Agreement” breached the iron fence and entered the Parliament's premises, laying siege to the government complex. According to the so-called opposition, the security forces did not resist them, which they claim is “further proof of the unity of Abkhaz society in defending national interests.”
Representatives of the so-called opposition demanded the parliament reconvene and vote against the agreement’s ratification.
