Hungary introduces simplified employment procedures for Georgian citizens.

Georgian citizens trained in deficient professions defined by the Hungarian government will have the opportunity to find employment in Hungary. The employment program will start accepting online applications in pilot mode from September 2022 and will be fully operational from 2023.

The Hungarian government has included about 150 occupations in the list of deficient occupations, including the driver, builder, bank teller-operator, mechanic, electrician, welder, IT specialist, cook, waitress, nurse, massage therapist, social worker, property guard, food industry, agricultural specialist, office administrator, manager and others.

Those citizens of Georgia with a document confirming their proficiency and meeting Hungarian employers' requirements will be able to work in Hungary for three months to 5 years legally. After that, the employers will determine the remuneration and regulate the contract's labour relations.

"I thank the Hungarian partners for their readiness to include Georgia in the list of countries that benefit from the mentioned simplified procedures. This fact is another clear confirmation of Hungary's unwavering support to our country," - stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, after the meeting with his Hungarian colleague.

At the meeting, the two countries foreign ministers also discussed future cooperation in the field of tourism. In this context, the importance of increasing the number of flights from Kutaisi airport by Wizz Air was mentioned.

Hungary is a developed industrial-agrarian country with intensive agriculture. The average total salary is 1027 euros.
