Criminal cases have been initiated against 12 detainees, administrative fines have been imposed on 130 individuals, 17 people have been expelled from the Republic - 8 of them with fines - and warnings have been issued to 56 violators. Investigations are ongoing for 16 detainees, according to a statement from the so-called State Security Committee.
The de facto government has issued a warning to citizens and visitors of the self-proclaimed republic, as well as tourist groups planning to visit settlements near the "border zone," advising them to carry identification documents such as a passport, official ID card, birth certificate (for minors), or, for foreign nationals, a border zone pass.
Citizens authorized to enter the border zone, who plan to engage in activities such as work, caring for livestock, or grazing, must submit an application for a permit for agricultural or other activities three days prior to the planned start. Additionally, to obtain a permit for hunting or fishing in the border zone, a certificate from the relevant regulatory authority is required, the statement adds.
Currently, around ten Georgian citizens are being held in prisons and pre-trial detention centers in occupied Tskhinvali. On October 15, the de facto government released Pridon Pakauri, who was illegally arrested on September 19 near the occupied village of Zemo Artsevi.
