On the social network Vkontakte, on the official page of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, a post was published last night according to which, before 1801, Georgia as a country did not exist and consisted of five sovereign political formations: Kartli and Kakheti with the capital in Tbilisi, Imereti with Kutaisi as a capital city, two principalities - Guria and Samegrelo in the Black Sea region and Svaneti in the mountainous region.

"Georgia with its current borders was created only within the Russian Empire. Georgia was moving towards Russia because they knew it was the only ally. History repeats itself: North and South Ossetia, Abkhazia and the rest of Georgia can be united only within Russia."
The post also mentioned that after "the liberation of Kyiv and the entire territory of Little Russia from the nationalist gangs," Russia "will be united again. We will start the next campaign to restore the borders of our homeland, which, as you know, end nowhere."
Apart from Georgia, Kazakhstan was also mentioned in the post. It was referred to as an "artificial state" and "former territories of Russia". According to the post, "Kazakhstan authorities are evicting various ethnic groups, which can be described as a genocide of Russians. We're not going to turn a blind eye to it. Until the Russians arrive there, there will be no order."
The post was deleted in about 10 minutes, and Medvedev's aide explained that the page of the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council had been hacked.
After the deletion of the post in Vkontakte, no new statement or explanation of Dmitry Medvedev was published.
