Activist Dodi Kharkheli Allegedly Arrested, Police at Her Apartment

The Russian law of the Georgian Dream party threatens independent media and civil society organizations and hinders Georgia from joining the European Union.

Russian law establishes Putin's rules in Georgia, which has eliminated free speech in Russia.

When you are oppressed, there will be no one to cover your problem and stand by you.

Officers from the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are present at the apartment of digital marketing specialist and activist Dodi Kharkheli. According to them, "investigative actions are underway."

Dodi Kharkheli was allegedly detained by police near a kindergarten after dropping off his child. A video recorded by an eyewitness has been shared on social media.

"Why are you doing all this? Russian Dream, Russian terror... just because I’m at the rallies," Dodi Kharkheli's voice can be heard saying.

According to family members and friends, when the investigation began, Kharkheli’s second child, who is a minor, was at the apartment.

"The child is calling me, saying he’s scared, he's in the room and can’t explain what’s going on. I couldn’t reach Dodi because her phone was switched off when I called," the child’s uncle, Giorgi Abashidze, told journalists.

Dodi Kharkheli is actively involved in the ongoing pro-European rallies and criticizes the ruling Georgian Dream party on Facebook, where she has an audience of 15,000.
