Burchuladze: On October 4, We Gather at Republic Square for a National Assembly

The Rustaveli Avenue movement is announcing a rally on October 4, coinciding with the local elections. This announcement was made by the movement's leader, world-renowned bass singer Paata Burchuladze.

"This statement is not addressed to any political party or politician. Therefore, I address His Majesty the Georgian people. On October 4, at 4:00 PM, we will gather at Republic Square to hold a National Assembly, take back the country seized by the regime, and vote for the liberation of Georgia. We must take the illegally appropriated power from Ivanishvili and return it to the people," Burchuladze stated.

According to him, October 4 will not just be a date for protest, but a day of historical victory.

"October 4 is declared the day of Ivanishvili's peaceful overthrow. Get ready, Georgia! Fight to the end!" said Burchuladze.

Gia Bughadze, a member of the movement and an artist, also made a statement. He emphasized the importance of the Georgian people waking up and expressing their protest.

"Let's gather in the square and hold our elections, because Georgia deserves to be happy, deserves to have a happy future, and young people deserve to live in an independent, glorious Georgia," Bughadze declared.

The call is also joined by Murman Dumbadze, founder of the party Serve Georgia and a former Georgian Dream MP.

"I am from a region where I lived under a regime for a considerable time. Despite numerous attempts to defeat the regime through elections, it became impossible. Aslan Abashidze ruled the Adjara region for 13 years and 3 months. We must not give Bidzina Ivanishvili a chance to break this record; we are already reaching that threshold," Murman Dumbadze said, adding that with strong consolidation of parties, the non-governmental sector, and courageous individuals, the regime will completely collapse.

"We are not planning anything. I believe that a day of great victory will be born soon," Dumbadze noted.

The gathering on October 4 is also supported by Malkhaz Machalikashvili, the father of 19-year-old Temirlan Machalikashvili, who was fatally wounded during a special operation in Pankisi Gorge.
