According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizens of these listed countries already had the right to enter Georgia before the changes, provided they held a Gulf countries visa or residence permit. However, there were no specific validity periods for these visas. Requirements for these countries are now being tightened.
A multiple-entry visa or residence permit from Gulf countries (United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait, or Sultanate of Oman) will no longer grant them visa-free entry and stay in Georgia if the validity period of their visa or residence permit is less than one year on the day of their entry into Georgia.
