The National Statistics Office of Georgia reports that in the third quarter of 2025, the average monthly nominal wage in Georgia increased by 10.4 per cent (214.9 GEL) compared to the same period last year, reaching 2,271.6 GEL.

Average salaries are highest in Tbilisi and the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.

According to Geostat, comparatively higher wages were recorded in the following sectors:
- Information and communication – 4,212.9 GEL (increased by 5.9% compared to the same period last year);
- Construction – 3,682.9 GEL (increased by 15.2%);
- Financial and insurance activities – 3,526.0 GEL (increased by 10.7%);
- Mining and quarrying – 3,154.3 GEL (increased by 30.6%).
In the third quarter of 2025, the average salary for women was 1,797.4 GEL, while for men, it was 2,738.1 GEL. Women's wages increased by 146.8 GEL (8.9%) annually, whereas men's wages rose by 287.1 GEL (11.7%).
The data indicate that men's salaries were higher than women's across all sectors.
In the third quarter of 2025, the average monthly salary of employees in the business sector increased by 230.8 GEL (10.5%) and reached 2,420.9 GEL.
By type of activity, the highest salaries were recorded in the fields of information and communication (4,277.5 GEL, an increase of 5.2 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year) and construction (3,687.6 GEL, an increase of 15.1 per cent).
The average monthly salary in the non-business and financial sector increased by 187.4 GEL (10.3%) compared to the same period last year and reached 2,000.9 GEL. However, it decreased compared to the first and second quarters of 2025. Between January and March, the average monthly salary in the non-business and financial sector was 2,170.9 GEL, and from April to July, it was 2,024 GEL.
In the non-profit and financial sectors, employees in financial and insurance activities tend to have relatively high average salaries.
