"As per this data, the voter turnout in Georgia amounted to 2 060 412, which is 58.94% of the total number of voters. This is not the final result; for now, information from five districts in the highland regions has not yet been received," said CEC Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani.
A total of 3044 polling stations opened throughout Georgia and closed at 20:00, while voting continues at overseas stations.
The turnout in the 2020 parliamentary elections was 56.11%, with 1 970 540 citizens casting their votes. In 2012, the turnout was 60.8%, with 2 197 243 citizens participating.
