One of the opposition leaders, Levan Mikaa, announced in the main hall of the presidential administration that they would remain in the building until Aslan Bzhania stepped down from his position.
Bzhania is not in his office. According to the press service of the so-called presidential administration, he has not left Sukhumi and is holding meetings with the leadership to stabilize the situation. Additionally, the press service stated that a document is being prepared to withdraw the draft law on the ratification of the Russian-Abkhazian Investment Agreement from parliament.
"The decision was made to stabilize the situation in the republic," reported the press service of the de facto president.
Today, November 15, the so-called Parliament of Abkhazia was scheduled to discuss the ratification of an agreement signed with Russia on implementing investment projects. However, due to the opposition's protest, the so-called deputies were unable to approve the session's agenda.
Opponents of the Investment Agreement broke through an iron fence and entered the Parliament's territory, besieging the government complex. According to the so-called opposition, the security forces did not resist them, which they claim is "further proof of the unity of Abkhaz society in protecting national interests." The representatives of the so-called opposition demanded that the parliament reconvene and hold a vote against ratifying the agreement.
