By the order of the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia, Thea Tsulukiani, Ketevan Dumbadze, a member of the Parliament from Georgian Dream and deputy chairman of the Culture Committee, was appointed as the director of the Writers' House. Dumbadze supported the Russian law “on agents’’ passed in the first reading in March. Her powers as a member of the Parliament will be terminated in the autumn session and she will head the Writers' House from September 4.

Since the end of 2019, Nata Lomouri has been the director of Writers' House. On August 3, she publicly wrote on the social network that the Ministry of Culture called and told her that her term of office was expiring in 5 days.
“I have a feeling that I am leaving my home, where I have done many important things along with my team for 12 years with great love and devotion. All this was done amid constant tension - I cannot remember a time when we did our work calmly, free of harassment and financial difficulties. I have already addressed the Minister of Culture with a letter, where I informed that I am interested in extending the term,” said Lomouri.
Ketevan Dumbadze is the daughter of writer Nodar Dumbadze. She became a member of the parliament from the party list of Georgian Dream as a result of the 2020 elections. From 2013 to 2017, she was an advisor to the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection, and in 2018 - an expert of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, as well as the head of the literary and educational project Living Books.
The statement published by the Ministry of Culture states that in 1978-1983, Ketevan Dumbadze studied at the Faculty of Philology of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, majoring in literary relations and artistic translation. She has a wide range of professional experience. In 1977-1993, she worked on the main editorial board of literary translation and literary relations at the Writer's Union. From the 1990s to 2013, she was actively engaged in the field of television. She is the author and producer of a number of informative, scientific, author programs and projects on television. Also, she has published a number of articles in local and foreign press and periodicals, translations of classical and modern authors.
