Fair Elections (ISFED) called for a recount of invalid ballots in Gori. The court rejected two additional appeals from the organization concerning the recount of results in the Krtsanisi and Chugureti constituencies. The panel, which included Judge Ilona Todua, made a decision on all three cases.
Today, the Court of Appeal is considering the appeals filed by the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association against the District Election Commissions of Eastern Georgia. The organization seeks the annulment of results in all districts where elections were conducted using technology.
Meanwhile, the Central Election Commission has appealed the decision of Tetritskaro District Court Judge Vladimir Khuchua and is requesting its cancellation. On November 4, Judge Khuchua, unlike other district court judges, set a precedent by confirming the violation of vote secrecy and declaring the electronic results from 30 election precincts in Tetritskaro and Tsalka invalid.
The complaints are being considered by a panel of judges consisting of Dimitri Gvritishvili, Gocha Didava, and Davit Akhalbedashvili. This process is taking place amid ongoing opposition protests.
