“There is complete inaction from the police. I am addressing the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri. If he has any regard for the dignity of his position, he should take decisive measures against the organized criminal groups abusing citizens in Tbilisi and the regions,” said one of the leaders of Unity - National Movement, Levan Bezhashvili, at a briefing held at the party's office.

According to him, in practice, the emergency service 112 is not functioning in Georgia. Reports of violence are coming in from all areas, but no police officers are responding.
"Take the recent incident in the Isani district. Look at the criticism directed at Levan Khabeishvili, who simply called on the police to uphold the law. Meanwhile, they fear 'Masky' and criminal groups. This is the pathetic face of the police. Gomelauri has given explicit orders to arrest these people. We witnessed violence in Gldani, where organized gangs attack young bystanders, including tourists, and abuse them. Their identities are known, and the police must arrest them. These groups are clashing with opposition representatives. In Isani, our district representative, Salome Kapanadze, who photographed armed men and sent video evidence to the police, was detained by the police. We are now without representation, and we demand that the Isani police release her so she can perform her duties. In Isani, our representative Mariam Dolidze was attacked twice, beaten with batons on the second occasion, and taken to the hospital. This is the true face of Georgian Dream. Physical violence has also occurred in Kvareli, at the 11th election precinct, where our representatives were attacked by Georgian Dream probe groups. Similarly, at the 14th precinct in Rustavi, informal groups are preventing our representative from observing the proceedings. Across Georgia, there is a struggle to protect the national interests of the country. Georgian Dream is in distress because, according to their own preliminary data, they are losing the elections," said Bezhashvili.
The President also appealed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, urging the police to respond more swiftly.
