"The Central Election Commission carried out Ivanishvili's dirty order and announced the results, which show that the oligarch Ivanishvili stole the victory from the Georgian people, thereby robbing them of their European future.
We strongly hope that this stance will be represented in the opposition, as we believe that the victory won by the Georgian people today does not belong to any single party but to the entire country and the opposition, which the Georgian people collectively entrusted with a mandate of confidence.
We will fight like never before to reclaim our country's European future and will not accept the results of these stolen elections. We have already met with our pro-Western, pro-European coalition partners, and I am confident that the next government will be a coalition government. In the coming hours, we will also issue a statement regarding our actions to protect the election result, which represents a significant victory for our country and which the Russian oligarch Ivanishvili is now attempting to steal. We will not surrender our European future, nor do we accept the stolen election results announced by the Central Election Commission," said Bokuchava.
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, stated that based on the results from 2206 out of 3,111 polling stations, Georgian Dream received nearly 53% of the votes, Coalition for Change received 11.2%, Unity - National Movement received 9.83%, Strong Georgia received 9.02%, and Gakharia - for Georgia received 8.22%.
As per the results of the exit poll conducted by Edison Research for the Formula television company, Georgian Dream received 40.9% of the votes, while the opposition collectively received 51.9%.
