Georgia's State Grant Management Agency, a public entity under the Georgian Dream government, plans to spend ₾20,300 ($7,500) on promoting its official Facebook and Instagram pages.

According to an order from agency chairperson Tamar Zodelava, the advertising services will be acquired in stages from August 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
The purpose of this procurement is to "ensure increased access to information about the activities of the LEPL State Grant Management Agency, implemented events, planned and ongoing reforms for interested target groups," according to the Procurement Agency's website.
The agency stated that Facebook and Instagram are "the only alternative" for this purpose due to their high user engagement in Georgia.
The State Grant Management Agency, established concurrently with the adoption of legislation restricting independent non-governmental and media organizations, is fully funded by the state budget. Its budget for 2025 is ₾814,472 ($301,700), with ₾253,200 ($93,700) allocated for salaries. For instance, the monthly salary of the agency's chairperson, Tamar Zodelava, is ₾10,585 ($3,900).
According to a relevant government decree, the agency's mandate is to support public organizations registered and operating in Georgia through state grants. A sum of ₾20 million ($7.4 million) has been allocated for this purpose in the current year.
