"If we were a democracy, the results of Marneuli as an electoral district would be completely annulled. Why? Because when you have confirmed cases of ballot-stuffing across several precincts, beatings in precincts, and more - I won’t even continue with the horrors that the Georgian public watched throughout the day - and then the votes come in at 90%, the presumption of election rigging is extremely high.
Any democratic leader would not let such questions, this presumption, cast doubt on their legitimacy. Of course, the Georgian Dream will not act in this way; the Georgian Dream is not concerned about it.
It is not the function or duty of observers to verify every specific violation. The role of observers is to indicate trends. The trend of violence, ballot-stuffing, and election falsification using the most brutal methods in Marneuli is confirmed by facts and video evidence. The fact that the Marneuli district is entirely unenforceable cannot be questioned," said Tina Khidasheli.
There are a total of 81 polling stations in Marneuli’s 22nd electoral district, of which the Central Election Commission has currently published the counting results for 42. According to preliminary data, Georgian Dream received 16 824 votes (78.738%) in this district.
