"The decision was taken in close coordination with counterparts in the Baltic States," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. The list of 26 sanctioned individuals has not been disclosed.
Before that, Estonia sanctioned 25 Georgian citizens, while Lithuania sanctioned 28 Georgian citizens, including the honorary chairman of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the illegitimate Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and senior officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Estonia also imposed visa sanctions on judges of the Tbilisi City Court who handled cases of individuals illegally detained during pro-European protests, as well as on Georgia's Prosecutor General.
