According to the de facto State Security Service, Chichtabdi has a residence permit in Abkhazia and lives near the so-called border.
"The individuals in question used their geographically favorable place of residence, which directly borders the territory of Georgia, to assist in the illegal crossing of the state border. During the inspection of the detainees' residences, authorities found an F1 hand grenade, an RGD-5 hand grenade, 1600 grams of TNT, 45 grams of plastic explosive, a block of TNT, cartridges of various calibers, and a stack of dollar bills," stated the so-called State Security Service.
It should be noted that in the video published by the so-called State Security Service, several dozen one-dollar bills can be seen.
The State Security Service of Georgia released information about the illegal arrest of two Georgian citizens today, August 21. According to the SSS, representatives of the occupation regime, through the hotline operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia, announced that a so-called criminal case had been initiated on the so-called accusation of organizing illegal migration. Both illegally detained individuals were sentenced by the so-called court to two months of pretrial detention and are currently being held in the so-called Abkhazia State Security Service Isolator.
"Regarding the illegal detention, the State Security Service of Georgia informed the co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva and international partners. All available mechanisms have been activated, and efforts are actively underway to secure the immediate release of the individuals in question," the SSS statement said.
Employees of Abkhazia's de facto State Security Service also arrested two Russian citizens who attempted to illegally cross the so-called border between Georgia and Abkhazia. Before this, they had entered Abkhazia from Russia with forged documents.
The so-called State Security Service noted that the number of attempts by members of the "criminal structures" of Georgia and Turkey to breach the border regime in order to enter Abkhazia has increased.
