"Yesterday, as you know, a liar Kobakhidze claimed that we have an unprecedentedly calm pre-election environment occurring in a free and fair setting. The truth is that this morning, one of the esteemed representatives of our party, who was dismissed from his position as school principal at the end of August for political reasons, continues to face persecution, harassment, and pressure to leave his role as a regular teacher. Today, this individual was practically pressured by the school principal for an invented reason.
A person who served the school for many years and educated many generations was dismissed solely because he was involved in the pre-election campaign alongside Giorgi Gakharia. This person holds great authority in the district.
Nana Jgerenaia, the wife of senior police officer Irakli Gvasalia, was appointed in her place. In fact, the school is now fully staffed with Georgian Dream party assets," said Natia Mezvrishvili.
Regarding the incident, Shorena Shamatava spoke to Formula TV station. According to the teacher, the principal accuses her of violating discipline and missing classes, which she claims is not true.
"It was a trap laid by the principal. My political persecution continues. The school has effectively turned into the Georgian Dream headquarters - there are agitators, the village deputy, and coordinators; the pre-election campaign is ongoing, and I am being targeted as the only unwanted person. They want to remove me from the school," says Shorena Shamatava.
The school director, Nana Jgerenaia, declined to comment on the incident.
The Gakharia - For Georgia party blames the authorities for the incident and intends to file a request with the relevant law enforcement agencies to initiate an investigation."
