The hunting season for migratory birds will open on August 27 and until March 1. Those wishing to hunt should pay a fee of 10 GEL.

Within seven days of payment (including the day of charge), in case of hunting, the person must bring with him a document confirming the amount of this fee in physical or electronic form; Also, a document confirming the right to keep and carry a hunting rifle issued by the relevant body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The fee can be paid at any bank in Georgia, receiving bank: State Treasury, bank code: 220101222, account number: 200122900, treasury code determining the type of budget receipts: 3033.
Hunting is prohibited in the administrative boundaries of Georgian cities, in state reserves, and national parks, as well as in 500-meter zones around state reserves and 250-meter zones around national parks; on the areas of existing farms under the management/use of the National Wildlife Agency;
It is prohibited to hunt with smooth-bore firearms (rifle), hunting with bolt-action firearms (carbine or rifle), hunting with combined guns (bolt and smooth-bore rifle), and hunting with cold or pneumatic weapons.
Burning vegetation during hunting, collecting and selling wild bird eggs; disrupting or destroying animal nests, lairs, and living places are prohibited throughout the year.
Other prohibitions include - attracting birds through artisanal or factory-made nets, traps, loops, pits, traps, electronic (including autonomous power supply) devices emitting sound signals, poison, reflectors mounted on hunting weapons, explosives, guarding rifles and other self-propelled weapons. Also, hunting from aeroplanes, helicopters, cars, motorcycles, boats, motorboats and other motorized vehicles is prohibited, including headlights and searchlights, waterfowl hunting from non-motorized motorboats and boats (hunting by pursuit), as well as hunting with night fires.
The use of hunting dogs, as well as birds of prey trained for hunting, is allowed in hunting if there is a document confirming the legality of owning this bird.
