Today, a meeting was held among the leaders of the Unity - National Movement, Strong Georgia, and Coalition for Changes, after which they spoke to the media.
"We had representatives from three parties here. We have completely reconciled our positions and are fighting together because it is time to save the motherland. I can tell you directly that everything will be fine. We have various plans.
Some things could be said, and some could not, but with the involvement of the people, we will achieve results. The results of the elections will be annulled, there will be re-elections, and the motherland will go where it should. The will of the Georgian people will be respected.
I want to apologize to everyone for not having said anything until now, but we have a very clear position: we need to navigate this situation without any mistakes. I want to appeal to the Georgian people: you can count on us. We will achieve results, and justice will prevail in the country.
Today, there will be a briefing where the three of us, at least, and maybe others, will present proposals. There will be statements from the leaders of the coalition regarding various directions. However, all three texts and positions are agreed upon. We are acting in concert as a single entity that must save the motherland," said Nika Gvaramia, the leader of the Coalition for Change.
According to Tina Bokuchava, the chairperson of Unity - National Movement, they will discuss "a concrete plan on how to regain the victory that the citizens of Georgia achieved in the October 26 elections" during the joint briefing.
"The degree of coordination and cooperation that exists in the opposition, including with the president, is very important. [...] It is also necessary to be active in a parallel mode, using the oldest form of democracy - the protest movement," said Bokuchava.
Ana Dolidze, a member of Strong Georgia, stated that the action plan includes steps to be implemented both domestically and internationally as soon as possible.
"We are glad that our partner in this matter is the President of Georgia, and most importantly, it is the Georgian people who have ordered this resistance plan," said Dolidze.
It is not known whether former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia's party, For Georgia, will join the briefing.
