3.5 Million Voters Registered, 135 000 First-Time Voters in 2024

The total number of voters for the October 26 parliamentary elections is 3 508 294, based on information released by the Central Election Commission following the completion of work on the unified voter list.

According to CEC spokesperson Natia Ioseliani, 3 113 747 voters will participate in the elections using electronic technologies. Additionally, 135 922 young people will have the opportunity to vote for the first time this year.

A total of 64 238 voters have applied to the election administration for a transfer box. In total, 3111 polling stations will serve voters. Of these, 3044 polling stations have been opened across Georgia, including 13 special polling stations, 12 of which are in penitentiary institutions and one in a mental health center.

The number of voters registered in special lists of election precincts abroad is 95 910. As per the CEC's decision, 67 polling stations will be opened in 53 cities across 42 countries.

The parliamentary elections will be held in 8 days. Voters will elect 150 deputies to the Parliament of Georgia for a four-year term under the proportional election system. To enter parliament, a political party must surpass the 5% threshold.

The following parties will participate in the elections: European Democrats, Georgian Dream, Alliance of Patriots of Georgia, Girchi, Gakharia for Georgia, Leftist Alliance, Coalition for Change Gvaramia Melia Girchi Droa, Unity - National Movement, Change Georgia, Strong Georgia - Lelo For the People, For Freedom!, Georgia, Our United Georgia, Georgian Unity, Tribune, Chven, Georgian Labor Party, Free Georgia, and Unity and Development Party of Georgia.
