Baya Kvitsiani, a Member of Parliament from the 10th convocation representing Georgian Dream, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze issued the order on November 14.

Baya Kvitsiani, who previously held the position of deputy chairwoman of the Education and Science Committee in Parliament, was not included in the 170-member list of Georgian Dream candidates for the parliamentary elections. However, the ruling party included her sister Maka Kvitsiani's husband, businessman Shota Berekashvili, as number 16. According to the summary protocol of the Central Election Commission, Berekashvili was elected to the Parliament of the 11th convocation.
In addition to Kvitsiani's appointment, the Prime Minister issued orders on November 14 and October 17 appointing Anna Mghebrishvili, Giorgi Modebadze, and Tamar Makharashvili as Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, and Youth.
Since October, Aleksandre Tsuladze, a former judge of the Supreme Court, has held the position of Minister of Education, Science, and Youth. Tsuladze had previously served as the First Deputy Minister of Education from December 2023, and from August to October, he was the director of the National Center for Education Quality Development.
The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth has a total of six assistants. Giorgi Jincharadze and Gela Geladze retained their positions after Tsuladze's appointment as minister.
