Due to an inscription made by the artist Sandro Sulaberidze on the wall of the National Gallery Keti Shavgulidze, curator of the exhibition was summoned to the police and questioned. According to Shavgulidze, law enforcers were interested in what could have been the reason for the artist's action, who removed his own work and instead left an inscription on the wall - "Art is alive and independent".

"First of all, they asked how our communication started, how Sandro and I know each other, and how we prepared for the exhibition. As I am a curator, I am responsible for the list of artists, it was drawn up by me and Sandro was also included in the list by my decision. They asked me what the probable cause could be. Sandro told me that it was not related to this exhibition" said Keti Shavgulidze while being on air on TV Pirveli.
According to the Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts statement, damage to the National Gallery caused by the artist is removed.
"On February 4, in Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery Culture Center, an exhibition of Atinati named "Self-Portrait by the Mirror" was opened (curator Ketevan Shavgulidze). At the opening of the exhibition, one of the artists participating in the exhibition, Sandro Sulaberidze, changed his mind about participating (he removed his work from the wall) and made an inscription with spray paint, thereby damaging the wall of the exhibition space of the National Gallery. At the moment, the original appearance of the wall has been restored by Atinati and the exhibition is taking place under normal conditions.”
Until now, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not explained under which article of the Criminal Code the investigation was started on the fact that the artist made an inscription on the wall of the gallery.
