The Estonian Foreign Minister also imposed visa sanctions on 11 Georgian officials, including Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and Zviad Kharazishvili, the head of the special forces, also known as Khareba.

According to Margus Tsahkna, the individuals were banned from entering Estonia due to their involvement in serious human rights violations in Georgia, particularly through the aggressive suppression of legitimate protests.

“The Georgian people should be able to stand up for their rights because their ruling party has been systematically lying to Georgians for a long time, and people have the right to express their feelings through protests. Violence against protesters is disproportionate and against human rights,” said Margus Tsahkna.

A statement published on the Estonian Foreign Ministry's website stated that Bidzina Ivanishvili is considered the architect of the Georgian government’s policy and is therefore respone Patrol Police Department Vazha Siradze; and Director of the Criminal Police Department Teimuraz Kupatadze.

Lithuania and Latvia have also imposed visa restrictions on the individuals mentioned above.
