The illegitimate government of Georgia has announced a holiday from January 3 to 13 for employees of administrative bodies.

As per the resolution, January 3, 6, 8, and 10, 2025, have been declared holidays. Based on the Labor Code, January 1 and 2 are designated as New Year’s holidays and are already public holidays, while January 7 is Christmas. Additionally, January 4, 5, 11, and 12 fall on weekends.
“The administrative body shall determine the services or employees under its jurisdiction or within its system to whom this resolution will not apply if the performance of their duties is urgently necessary for the exercise of state power and the normal functioning of society,” the resolution states. It was signed by Irakli Kobakhidze.
The resolution does not apply to financial obligations that must be fulfilled by entities subject to the supervision of the National Bank of Georgia, nor to activities related to state procurements as defined by the Law of Georgia on State Procurement.
