As of the update from Transfermarkt on July 18, Giorgi Mamardashvili has become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world (alongside Diogo Costa), with a market value of 45 million euros. When Mamardashvili was acquired by Valencia in January 2022, his market value was 3 million euros. After his loan period, Valencia purchased Mamardashvili from Dinamo Tbilisi for only 850, 000 euros.
The significant increase in the Georgian goalkeeper's market value is attributed to his impressive performance at EURO 2024, where he recorded 29 saves, the highest in the tournament.
