Based on the decree signed by Irakli Kobakhidze on August 20, Zurab Pataridze will leave his position as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan on January 1, 2025.
Pataridze was appointed as the Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan 6 years ago, in August 2018. According to the law, each term for the head of a diplomatic mission is four years.
Before his appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataridze served as the Chairman of the Government of Adjara for two years.
At various times, Pataridze has held the positions of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan and Turkey, Consul General of Georgia in Thessaloniki, and Consul at the Georgian Embassy in the Russian Federation.
