Israel Strikes Iran's Nuclear Infrastructure

On the morning of June 13, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) struck "the heart of Iran's nuclear program" – the main uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, as well as Iranian scientists working to create a nuclear bomb, and the center of its ballistic missile program.

According to media reports, the Israeli Air Force's attack resulted in the liquidation of several key figures: Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Fereydoun Abbasi, a nuclear scientist and former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran; Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, a renowned nuclear physicist; Gholam Ali Rashid, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Ali Shamkhani, Iran's former National Security Chief.

The IDF stated that Iran possesses enough enriched uranium to build 15 nuclear bombs in the coming days, posing an existential threat to Israel and the world.According to IDF representative General Effie Defrin, over 200 Israeli Air Force aircraft participated in the attack on Iran. Israeli fighter jets struck more than 100 targets – military and nuclear program facilities – with over 330 munitions on Iranian territory.

A state of emergency has been declared in Israel due to the anticipated retaliatory attack from Iran. The Israeli Defense Forces warned the population that the country faces "difficult and challenging days."

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, threatened Israel with a "harsh response." Iran launched approximately 100 drones toward Israeli territory, and the Israeli Defense Forces are working to repel them.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he was aware in advance of Israel's impending strike on Iran.

"Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we are hoping to get back to the negotiating table. We will see. There are several people in leadership that will not be coming back," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.

He also mentioned that he is keeping a close watch on the situation, with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on high alert, ready to respond if Iran chooses to retaliate. Donald Trump made it clear that the US would defend itself and Israel if Iran responded.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States did not participate in Israel's strike on Iran. Despite this, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also assigned responsibility to Washington.
