Ivanishvili to US Embassy: Blackmail Comes Not from the US or EU, but from the Global War Party

"When we talked about bank account robbery and financial blackmail, we always specified that the entities behind this blackmail are not the USA or the European Union, but the forces we refer to as the Global War Party. We did not accuse the USA or the European Union of financial blackmail even when Credit Suisse used the resolution adopted by the European Parliament as an excuse for not transferring the money. Moreover, we clarified multiple times that by Global War Party, we did not mean the USA or the European Union; however, we also specified that the Global War Party has a significant influence on politicians and bureaucrats in both the USA and the European Union.

This is the exact main reason why, until the end of the financial blackmail, I refuse to meet with American politicians and bureaucrats, because the probability of influence from the Global War Party is very high concerning each of them," Bidzina Ivanishvili says.

In addition, according to Ivanishvili, his lawyers have repeatedly disclosed detailed information about the financial restrictions imposed on him after the war in Ukraine.

"I would also like to remind you that the topics of oligarchic influence, informal government, the Deep State, and the war party in the USA have not been raised by us, and this issue appears to be one of the main lines of the current presidential campaign in America. Presidential candidate Donald Trump, primary candidates Robert Kennedy Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy, among others, are actively discussing this topic.

It is the Global War Party that is trying to shield the USA and the European Union while acting against the national interests of Georgia, presenting the events as if Georgia has a conflict not with them, but with the USA and the European Union," Ivanishvili notes.

The leader of the ruling party adds that "against this background, it is the Georgian Dream that is the political force doing everything to prevent damage to the reputation of the USA and the European Union in the eyes of the Georgian public and to assign its name to the events."

"If Georgian society believes that the US and the EU want to change the government against the will of the people in Georgia and return power to the collective National Movement, it will not be the Global War Party, but the US and the EU that will cause irreparable damage to their images.

[...] Furthermore, Georgian society may think that in 2022, the radical opposition, NGOs, and high-ranking officials of the Ukrainian government were calling us to the second front not by the Global War Party, but by the USA and the European Union.

Similarly, Georgian society may also believe that between 2020 and 2022, it was not the Global War Party, but the USA and the European Union that tried to disrupt the country twice.

We do not want to allow public opinion to develop in this direction, and we will do everything we can to prevent it. However, we will also need the help of the American side in this. For this, the most important thing is to tell Georgians not 'different story,' but the real story," Bidzina Ivanishvili stated.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia stated today that Bidzina Ivanishvili knows that the money related to Credit Suisse is in the hands of the courts of Bermuda and Singapore, not in the hands of the American courts, but he presents the reality to the Georgian population differently.
