erritories of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region as Georgia's "neighboring countries" and expressed his willingness to help "normalize relations" with them.
Kaladze stated that one of the main tasks of the ruling team is to restore the territorial integrity of the country, which should be achieved through peaceful negotiations.
"In this regard, the honorary chairman of the party, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, spoke at length. It should occur through mutual reconciliation, and it must happen only through peace, development, and mutual forgiveness. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia is ready to assist Georgia and its "neighboring countries" - Abkhazia and South Ossetia - in normalizing relations, if the "countries" themselves are interested. In response to a journalist's question about the recent statements from Georgian officials attributing the 2008 Russia-Georgia war to Mikheil Saakashvili, Lavrov remarked that "the current leadership of Georgia evaluates the past with honesty."
