"I don't want to hear any 'ifs' from you these days. Everything is clear - Georgia is already a winner, and its future is victorious," said the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, who joined the Georgia Vote for European Union march at Freedom Square.

During his speech before tens of thousands of citizens, President Zourabichvili said, "Today is one of those days in Georgia's history that our children and grandchildren will remember."
"My grandson, Gabriel, was born today. Perhaps it’s a sign that a new future and a new Georgia are coming. The Georgia I see before me today is a free Georgia. No one came here by force; no one came because they were told, 'If you don’t, you’ll lose your job.' No student came because they were told, 'If you don’t, you won’t get a scholarship.'
Nothing is more precious than freedom. There is nothing more valuable than freedom and peace. Here today is a community, the Georgians who are peacefully, with dignity and in a truly Georgian way, entering Europe.
Today, both the Georgia of tomorrow and the Georgia of yesterday stand here. When I say yesterday, I don’t mean the one that fell into the Soviet grip, but the free Georgia of our ancestors and our proud history. That Georgia and this Georgia are united, and together they will enter Europe," Zourabichvili declared.
She addressed the Presidents of Moldova and Ukraine, Maia Sandu and Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as Georgia’s partners. Presidential elections and a referendum on the country’s accession to the European Union are being held today in Moldova.
"Maia, I hope today will be the day of your victory and the victory of the European referendum. We will enter Europe together! I would also like to address Volodymyr Zelensky and tell him that we know he will fight for us and emerge victorious, and together we will enter Europe.
To our partners - Europeans and Americans - I want to say that we will be the kind of partner and ally you couldn’t even dream of when we join Europe. And we will join Europe," the President of Georgia emphasized.
Today, on October 20, one week before the parliamentary elections, tens of thousands of people participated in the Georgia Vote for European Union rally in Tbilisi. After marching with the flags of Georgia and the European Union from five different locations, citizens gathered at Freedom Square, where a concert was held. The march was organized by a coalition of non-governmental organizations, and leaders and supporters of various opposition parties joined them.
