"I am sure many of you will join tomorrow. I will be with you. This is a very important day, and our stability depends on it. The most important thing is for the people to come out peacefully and demonstrate their will for the country to return to freedom, independence, and a European future. [...] I know that many people will show up tomorrow.
I also know that there are many threats, rumors, and forms of pressure directed at you - attempts to make you believe everything will be manipulated, to convince you that your voice will not reach where it needs to go. But you should not be afraid of anything because you are on the right path, and we are on the right path," said the President.
Salome Zourabichvili urged voters not to be afraid to speak up, either tomorrow or in the coming week. She added that she is "very satisfied and very hopeful."
"Everything is fine, and everything will be fine because the spirit and unity needed for victory and our return to Europe exist in this country. That spirit is here. The four main parties, along with other parties who have also signed, remain fully committed to the Charter - that is, committed to the action plan that will bring us back to Europe.
This means that any vote cast for these four parties will take us to Europe.
The sum of these votes will form the majority that approves all the points written in the Charter. It shows us a very clear path, without detours. So, if you choose one that you support, all four parties and I, as the initiator and guarantor of the Charter, will go down this path together," Zourabichvili said.
According to the President, she met with the European Union Ambassador, Pawel Herczyński, who reiterated his support not only for the Georgian Charter but also assured that "as soon as they see that the people of Georgia have expressed their calm but firm will in the elections to return to Europe, everything necessary will be immediately put into action to return to that path swiftly."
"This meeting confirmed to me that everything is ready for the immediate restoration of our progress, so that Georgia does not lose anything during this period," the President stated.
On October 20, six days before the parliamentary elections, the Georgia Vote for European Union march will be held in Tbilisi, organized by a coalition of non-governmental organizations. At 17:00, participants will march from five locations towards Freedom Square, where a rally-concert is planned for 19:00.
