As per a statement by the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, she is "taking into account" the positions of the four parties that signed the Georgian Charter she initiated. As a result, she will no longer propose a candidate for the position of prime minister, nor will she put forward a technical government until the parliamentary elections.

"I had, and still have, a candidate for Prime Minister. The Georgian Charter requires me to present one. I thought long and hard about it, conducted a search, and made my decision. I informed the four parties because there must be no dissonance. I heard from them that this issue should be resolved after the elections. The Charter does not specify whether the Prime Ministerial candidate should be presented before or after the elections. Since the majority favored doing so afterward, it is better to wait until then.
I believe that a neutral Prime Minister, one who is not a political figure and does not come from any political party, would make it easier for the parties to agree, as their visions differ. A technical government, which could be entirely technical or mixed, will be discussed after the elections.
I want to assure the voters that I am not going anywhere - I am here, and I will be here after the elections. I will be very attentive to the stability of this country, and I will gather all my strength to ensure it," Zourabichvili said in an interview with Formula TV.
The President urged voters not to be afraid and to vote for the party that aligns most closely with their worldview. According to her, these parties are obligated and responsible to her for fulfilling the Georgian Charter.
"The voter is the wisest. I want to tell voters: remember that you have a choice - four parties. None of them may be perfect, but collectively, they represent our future. We may later witness the transformation of some parties or even the emergence of new ones. If fear and the control over the Central Election Commission are removed, the electoral space will become much more open.
Do not be afraid. Vote for the party that reflects your worldview. Know that these parties are obligated and accountable to me for fulfilling the Georgian Charter, an action plan for quickly entering the European Union. I will hold them all accountable for this.
These four parties are mediators in securing the percentages needed to easily make the decisions outlined in the Georgian Charter, and to swiftly repeal the Russian laws. Do not be afraid, and give me the votes in support of the Charter in this form," said Salome Zourabichvili.
The President initially believed that a non-politician government should be presented before the elections. “And since this is my responsibility, I believe I should present it before the elections, so the public knows who will be in charge of the government - naturally, under the oversight of the parliament and political parties - who will lead the country in alignment with this charter," she said during a briefing on October 12. Earlier, Salome Zourabichvili stated that she had already chosen a candidate to be prime minister.
