As Russian President Vladimir Putin's assistant, Yuri Ushakov, stated, the meetings will take place before the Council of Heads of CIS member states convenes. No tripartite meeting is planned.
"Issues regarding the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be discussed. Russia plays an active and positive role here. The foundation for a comprehensive resolution of these complex issues is the implementation of the tripartite agreements reached by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia in Moscow," Ushakov said.
Additionally, the Russian president's assistant noted that the West is attempting to interfere in the negotiation process, which is also an effort to meddle in "regional affairs and the region itself."
Armenia hopes to sign the provisions of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan next month. President Vahagn Khachaturian announced this in an interview with Reuters on October 7.
Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan are already in Moscow.
