Eyewitnesses report that Managadze was physically assaulted by three or four people, resulting in a head injury.
"I left the yard of the main building of TSU and was crossing the road towards the bus stop when I felt a hit from behind. I also twisted my hand. My bag fell, I picked it up, and tried to defend myself. Then the second person came, then the third; I was already surrounded. I don't remember how many there were. I saw at least three," says Managadze.
A video of the alleged attackers is also circulated on social media.
Niko Managadze actively participates in demonstrations against the Russian Law on so-called Foreign Agents. Every Saturday morning, along with other students, he meets the Prime Minister, who comes to give a lecture, at the second building of TSU. Last Saturday, people accompanying Irakli Kobakhidze physically assaulted the participants of the rally.
Niko Managadze has also announced the "Meet Kobakhidze" protest for tomorrow, June 8, at 9 o'clock in the morning.
