Two Georgian Citizens Arrested by Occupiers Near Tsnelisi Village

The Russian law of the Georgian Dream party threatens independent media and civil society organizations and hinders Georgia from joining the European Union.

Russian law establishes Putin's rules in Georgia, which has eliminated free speech in Russia.

When you are oppressed, there will be no one to cover your problem and stand by you.

Representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally arrested two Georgian citizens near the occupied village of Tsnelisi. This information was disseminated by the State Security Service.

According to the agency, information about another case of illegal detention was immediately reported to the co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva and to international partners.

"All existing mechanisms have been activated to secure the release of the illegally detained Georgian citizens as quickly as possible. Responsibility for all destructive actions committed in the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power," the State Security Service (SSS) statement said.

The so-called State Security Committee of South Ossetia did not release information about the arrest.

As of today, about 10 citizens remain illegally detained in the occupied Tskhinvali prison and pre-trial detention center. On November 5, the occupation regime released Khajarat Akhvlediani and Giorgi Romelashvili, and on November 8, Vitali Kasradze. Vitali Kasradze, 85, from Ergneti village in Gori municipality, was arrested on the same day for illegally crossing the so-called state border.

As per data from the de facto authorities of the occupied Tskhinvali region, 232 people were arrested at various sections of the "state border" with Georgia from January to September of this year.
