Robin Dunnigan, the United States ambassador, notes that misinformation about US-Georgia relations and the narrative portraying the US as a Global War Party encouraging revolution in the country is spreading in Georgia.

The ambassador delivered a speech at Ilia State University, where the project "Soviet Memory: Revising/Understanding Nostalgia and Russian History Based on Facts" is being implemented.

"In Georgia, misinformation is spreading about what it means to become a member of the European Union. One thread of misinformation claims that it involves giving up one's identity, which is completely false. Unfortunately, misinformation about US-Georgia relations is also spreading today.

Some assert that we are the Global War Party and that we harbor intentions to foment revolution in this country, as if our intentions were malicious.

It is truly disheartening to hear these claims because our history in this country spans more than 32 years and is marked by strong ties between our peoples. It is a history of deep relations between Americans and Georgians, a history of partnership in medicine and education, a history of sharing agricultural equipment, and a history of mutual support in strengthening defense forces. Over these 32 years, we have provided 6 billion US dollars in aid to Georgia. It is both heartbreaking and disappointing to encounter a narrative that seeks to distort the truth. I want to reiterate the commitment of the USA to the Georgian people, to their aspirations to join the European Union, and to strengthening the Euro-Atlantic trajectory," said Robin Dunnigan.

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream, addressed supporters on April 29, discussing the concept of the Global War Party. According to him, this party wields significant influence over NATO and the European Union, viewing Georgia and Ukraine merely as expendable assets. Ivanishvili asserted, "The primary reason for the aggression of the Global War Party towards Georgia is its failure to transform Georgia into a secondary front, despite considerable efforts, a goal easily achievable if the agency were to return to power."

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has also frequently referred to the Global War Party. On May 22, in response to a question raised in a Radio Liberty article alleging American possession of sensitive information about the ruling team, Kobakhidze stated, "Such information cannot possibly exist because our actions are solely dedicated to safeguarding national interests. However, regarding specific occurrences and the involvement of the Global War Party in instigating challenging situations in Georgia, we do possess information. The Global War Party should genuinely fear the disclosure of this information. We are aware of events spanning different periods in our country, even across a 14-year gap. This is why they cannot intimidate anyone."
