For the moment, 9 members of the Batumi organization have left the United National Movement party, including Giorgi Kirtadze, a deputy of the Adjara High Council, and 7 members of the Batumi Sakrebulo faction. As they announced at today's briefing, the reason for this decision was a disagreement with the party leadership.

“We made every effort to maintain unity in the party, but in the end, we were told that nothing would change in the party until 2025, and in the most important, decisive elections of 2024, the National Movement will present as it is today. It is a difficult decision, but we are leaving the National Movement. When the cause you are fighting for is devoid of ideas, you have to make these types of decisions,” said Giorgi Kirtadze.
As another member of the Batumi organization, Mirdat Kamadadze, pointed out, today the National Movement cannot represent an alternative to the Georgian Dream: ‘‘all the decisions made by the new management of the National Movement, in their content and form, are unfortunately no different from the party against which they fought. We are leaving the National Movement, but you will see each of us on the battlefield in the fight against the Russian dream."
Those who left the party do not rule out cooperation with the former chairman of the National Movement, Nika Melia.
On November 27, the National Movement stated that Nika Melia no longer represents this party and this issue is closed.
On November 28, members of the National Movement faction of the city councils of Zugdidi, Khobi, Chiatura, Kutaisi, Ambrolauri, Poti, Mtskheta, and Akhaltsikhe called on the chairman of the party Levan Khabeishvili to resign.
Levan Khabeishvili was elected the chairman of the party in January 2023. He is a candidate supported by the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Vano Merabishvili, and the former Minister of Defense and the founder of TV company Formula, Davit Kezerashvili. Former chairman Nika Melia accused Kezerashvili-Merabishvili of trying to interfere in internal party processes and unofficial influences.
