In the first quarter of 2024, the average monthly nominal salary in Georgia increased by 13.2%, or 226.8 GEL, compared to the corresponding period last year, reaching 1943.4 GEL. It is noteworthy that by the end of 2023, the average monthly salary had stood at 2044.5 GEL.

Based on data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia during January-March, the following fields reported relatively high wages based on their respective activities:
- Financial and insurance activities: 4519.4 GEL (a 20.2% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year);
- Information and communication: 3956.5 GEL (increased by 9.0%);
- Professional, scientific, and technical activities: 2672.7 GEL (increased by 12.0%);
- Construction: 2624.6 GEL (increased by 22.3%).
In January-March, the average salary for women was 1540.0 GEL, and for men, it was 2343.2 GEL. The annual salary increase for women amounted to 164.3 GEL (11.9%), and for men, it was 289.8 GEL (14.1%). Men's wages were higher than women's wages in all sectors according to the types of activity.
In the first quarter of 2024, the average monthly salary of hired employees in the business sector increased by 226.3 GEL (12.9%), reaching 1985.4 GEL. The highest salaries were recorded in the fields of information and communication (4069.0 GEL, an 8.8% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year) and professional, scientific, and technical activities (3035.1 GEL, up by 10.9%).
The average monthly salary in the non-entrepreneurial and financial sector increased by 226.8 GEL (13.8%) compared to the corresponding period last year, amounting to 1870.0 GEL. Employees in financial and insurance activities have relatively high average salaries based on their type of activity.
Tbilisi boasts the highest average monthly salary at 2305 GEL, followed by the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region at 1680.2 GEL, and then Adjara at 1564.5 GEL. The lowest average monthly salary is found in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region at 996.8 GEL.
