"Due to the fact that the current political events, the form of the pre-election marathon, and the strategic visions for our small union’s involvement in it, and most importantly, the methods of striving toward the desired goal did not align, the three of us personally decided to leave the political union CHVEN. We will continue the fight against the authoritarian regime outside the party," wrote Davit Katsarava on social media. According to him, others have also left the party.
Davit Katsarava announced the formation of the party and its participation in the parliamentary elections two months ago, in August, after which the party's name was changed from Free Choice – New Alternative to CHVEN. It was joined by the anti-occupation movement Strength is in Unity, the movement Regions for Georgia, and MP Tariel Nakaidze's Rustaveli Path.
CHVEN is participating in the parliamentary elections with the number 23. Among the party members are Khatia Bakuradze, Lasha Kvlividze, Gigisha Pataridze, Mikheil Ramishvili, Lasha Mgeladze, Vakhtang Losaberidze, Zaza Khurtsidze, and others.
