At today’s briefing, Davit Katsarava stated that Tariel Nakaidze is well known to the public for his experience working with ethnic and religious minority groups. "With this unity, we are entering a very important common battle," Katsarava said.
Tariel Nakaidze also made a statement, noting that We in the Parliament of Georgia will represent a portion of the population that is oppressed and whose voice is not heard in the legislative body.
"With this political unification, participation in the elections is very important, and I believe we will create a significant synergy. I call on everyone, our voters, to support this union and to mark the number 23," said Nakaidze.
Davit Katsarava, leader of the Anti-Occupation Movement, founded the We political party in August. The party’s members include lawyer Mikheil Ramishvili, conflict expert Akia Barbakadze, and actor Kakha Gogidze.
Parliamentary elections will be held on October 26, with a 5% threshold. Voters will elect 150 deputies to the Parliament of Georgia for a four-year term based on a proportional election system.
