The government allocated 35 million GEL from the state budget to 50 institutions founded by the Georgian Orthodox Church Patriarchate.

According to the decree signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on March 15, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth was instructed to allocate 35,000,000 GEL from the funds allocated within the framework of the general education schools financing program to provide financial assistance to institutions established by the Patriarchate.
According to the annex to the decree, 22,157,000 GEL of this amount will be allocated to the Fund for the Development of Education and Cultural Events of the Patriarchate, and 485,000 GEL will be allocated to the Gymnasium named after the Holy King.
350-350 thousand GEL will be credited to a number of schools founded by the Patriarchate, including:
- Mestia Saint Hilarion Georgian Orthodox Secondary School;
- Samtredia Orthodox School named after Saint Metropolitan Nazari Lezhava;
- Saint Bidzina, Shalva and Elizbari general education school located near the diocese of Alaverdi;
- School named after St. John Bolnel;
- Kvareli Gymnasium named after St. Ilia Prattis;
- Saint Nino Orthodox School;
- Gymnasium named after St. Ilia Right of Tsageri;
- Gymnasium named after Saint George Mtatsmindeli of Lentekhi;
- Orthodox Secondary School named after the Holy Twelve Apostles of Mtskheta;
- Honorable Father Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Gori Gymnasium;
- Boarding school named after St. King Vakhtang Gorgasli;
- Orthodox school-gymnasium named after Alexey Shushania;
- Gymnasium named after St. Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Kareli of Urbanis and Ruis Diocese;
- School named after St. Dimitri Kifiani;
- Van Orthodox General Education Gymnasium;
- Gymnasium named after St. Andrew of Kharagauli;
- Ambrose Khelaia General Education School;
- Gymnasium named after Saint Matata the Apostle of Batumi;
- Saint Ekvtime and Giorgi Mtatsmindaeli Orthodox Secondary School;
The remaining funds are distributed to schools, seminaries, and colleges established by the Patriarchate.
A few days ago, the government transferred a total of 2982 square meters of non-agricultural land to the Orthodox Church in Guria at a symbolic price of one GEL.
The church is annually financed by 25 million GEL from the state budget.
