2,860,117 international travelers visited Georgia in the first six months of 2023. Within the total number of international visits to Georgia, Turkey ranks first, with 582,527 visits. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the increase is 122.2%. 577,632 international visitors came from the Russian Federation, which is 133.7% or 330,483 more than the data for January-June 2022.

According to statistics published today by the National Tourism Administration, Russia, and Turkey are followed by: Armenia - 397,116 international visitors, Israel - 106,530, Azerbaijan - 85,777, and Ukraine - 67,040.
In January-June of this year, the number of visits made by international visitors from EU countries and the United Kingdom amounted to 161,881. The increase compared to the same period in 2022 is 66%.
This year, the majority of international visitors, 1,721,870 people, entered Georgia through the land border, and 786,148 by air.
Out of a total of 2,860,117 international visits, 1,930,483 were tourist visits, and 599,034 were one-day visits. 330,600 visits were considered other, non-tourist visits.
The National Administration of Tourism states that in terms of visits by international travelers, the data of the pre-pandemic period has been restored by 74%, and in terms of international tourist visits - by 90.8%.
