Until now, Akhmad Kadyrov held the positions of First Deputy Minister of Sports of Chechnya and Minister of Youth of the Republic.
The president of Akhmat has been one of the closest associates of Chechnya's leader for the last 13 years: Magomed Daudov, the chairman of the republic's parliament since 2015. He resigned a few days ago. Additionally, the head of Chechnya's government, Muslim Khuchiev, also resigned recently.
Kadyrov's children and relatives are regularly appointed to important positions. Last year, Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest daughter, 25-year-old Aishat, became the vice-premier of the republic for social affairs. His second daughter, 24-year-old Khadizhat, has been the first deputy head of Chechnya and the head of government administration since February of this year. Another daughter, 20-year-old Khutmati, is the deputy head of the secretariat of the head of the Chechen Republic and the curator of the regional health sector. Since last year, 16-year-old Adam Kadyrov has been working as the head of his father's security service and the supervisor of the Sheikh Mansuri battalion. Ramzan Kadyrov officially has 14 children.
It has been reported for a long time that the 47-year-old leader of Chechnya, who is accused by human rights groups of running a "totalitarian regime," is seriously ill. Kadyrov denies these reports.
