Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili presented the highest state awards to the prize winners of the Paris Olympics. The Georgian Olympic team won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Olympic champions have been nominated for the Order of Victory, named after St. George:
- Weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze, a three-time Olympic, seven-time world, and seven-time European champion;
- Judoka Lasha Bekauri, a two-time Olympic champion;
- Freestyle wrestler Geno Petriashvili, a winner of all three Olympic medals, a three-time world, and a two-time European champion.
Olympic laureates have been nominated for the Order of Honor:
- Judoka Tato Grigalashvili, an Olympic vice-champion, three-time world, and three-time European champion;
- Judoka Ilia Sulamanidze, an Olympic vice-champion, and multiple prize-winner of world and European championships;
- Freestyle wrestler Givi Macharashvili, an Olympic vice-champion, two-time world championships prize-winner, and two-time European champion;
- Boxer Lasha Guruli, an Olympic bronze medalist, and multiple world and European championships prize-winner.
According to the Law "On State Awards and Premiums of Georgia," the President awards an individual with the mentioned state awards on their own initiative, in agreement with the Speaker of the Parliament and the Prime Minister, as well as based on the joint submission of the Speaker of the Parliament and the Prime Minister. Despite this, President Salome Zourabichvili is not mentioned in the joint statement by Irakli Kobakhidze and Shalva Papuashvili.
