The Chairman of the Parliament says that the opposition saw that 'the people support the prudent policy of the government”.
“That is why everyone who pushed us into war talks about peace, and everyone who planned to put Georgian peasants and entrepreneurs on the path to bankruptcy today talks about trade with Russia. If the opposition is able to seize even one gram of power, Georgia will return to the chaos of wars and destruction. As soon as we freed this country, we created a 12-year period of continuous peace and gave the people the opportunity to breathe and develop,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
The members of the opposition evaluated the statements of the Chairman of the Parliament as misinformation and a call to confrontation.
