According to the Ministry of Justice, the Public Services Development Agency considered it appropriate to terminate Georgian citizenship for Otar Partskhaladze. The relevant conclusion has been forwarded to the President of Georgia.

Before that, on September 19, the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, wrote that she is awaiting a conclusion from the Ministry of Justice on the termination of Georgian citizenship for Otar Partskhaladze, which she will immediately comply with.
The president also demanded an investigation into the case of Otar Partskhaladze: "It’s a greatest tragedy when the Prosecutor General of the country turns out to be an FSB or KGB agent. The public should be given detailed answers, with a detailed investigation. This is not a request, but a demand."
On September 14, news broke that the USA imposed sanctions on the former chief prosecutor of Georgia, Otar Partskhaladze. The State Department document names Partskhaladze as a Georgian-Russian oligarch with whom Russia's Federal Security Service [FSB] worked to influence Georgian society and politics in Russia's favor.
On September 20, Otar Partskhaladze gifted the property registered under his name - apartments, hotel rooms, commercial spaces – into his son’s ownership.

The National Agency of Public Registry started and completed proceedings on 12 different applications of Partskhaladze in one hour.
The Ministry of Justice published a statement regarding the expediency of the termination of Georgian citizenship for Partskhaladze only after the former prosecutor general completed the transfer of property to his son.
