It is clear from the document that the anti-corruption bureau applied to the Public Registry Agency on April 3 with a request to study the legality of the decision to register the Conservative Movement. The party was registered on December 7, 2021.
The agency determined that the document submitted to the registry did not meet the requirements of the law. In particular, on December 6, 2021, a new charter signed by the chairman of the founding congress of the Conservative Movement, Konstantine Morgoshia, was presented, although it was not approved by the congress.
The decision of the National Public Registry Agency was published today and entered into force immediately. Alt-Info can appeal the decision within 30 days.
"According to the instructions of the government, the public registry officially announced to us that our party, which had been registered and existed for years, was canceled. This is a direct crime, an unheard-of form of crime that did not even occur under the previous government," said Giorgi Kardava, chairman of the Conservative Movement.
A few days ago, the Central Election Commission registered the Conservative Movement/Alt-Info as an election subject. The party was planning to participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.
