The parties Girchi – More Freedom and Droa are forming an electoral union. ‘’We are united by zero cooperation with the Russian regime; a clear vision of the future; Motivation to replace the Soviet one-party system with a modern, Western-type coalition government. In October 2024, parliamentary elections will be held for the first time in Georgia in a fully proportional representation. The mandates of the members of the parliament will be distributed to those political parties that received at least 5% of the real votes of the voters.
In October 2022, three opposition parties united – Girchi - More Freedom, Droa, and Strategy Aghmashenebeli in order to obtain the status of a candidate for the European Union and defeat the Georgian Dream. ‘’We see a way out of this dead end in unity, both in terms of the action plan and in political, non-political, pro-European unity. There is no other way, and our Western partners are expecting it, but first of all, our Georgian people expecting it,’’ said Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Agmashenebeli.
On July 20, 2023, The United National Movement and Strategy Aghmashenebeli created a new political platform.
In the 2020 parliamentary elections, Girchi party received 2.89% of votes (55,598 votes), and Strategy Aghmashenebeli received 3.15% (60,671 votes).
